Gujarati khandvi


Khandvi is a very popular snack from the Indian state of Gujarat.This is very easy recipe  but Making Khandvi is an art. It takes some practice to get the correct.consistency after cooking. Most important things about the Khandvi is very healthy and low fat .







Ingredients :-                                      Ingredients for tempering 
1 cup curd                                              1 tbsp oil
1 cup water                                            1 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 cup gram flour (Besan)                      2 tsp chopped green chilli
1/2 tsp turmeric powder                         For garnishing
2 tsp ginger garlic paste                            2 tbsp fresh cruised coconut
1 tsp chopped green chilli                         1 tbsp Chopped green coriander leaves
salt to taste
Pinch of asafoetida
Method :-



Take big bowl , add curd water and gram flour .
Now make a smooth better.
now add chilli , ginger garlic paste ,salt, asofatida and turmeric powder .
Now mix it.





Now take heated pan put the batter and cook for 7-8 min at low flame it can take more time also you need to check it .stir continuously .





Now it looks thick batter .it has done .
Grease the reverse side of a few thalis or marble table top with a little oil





Now spread it as a thin layer on plane surface as u have. (you can use regular steel plate/Thali )
Allow to cool and cut out 1"X3" broad strip .  you can chose your size .Now roll the strip tightly




Arrange on serving dish.
Heat two tablespoons of oil and add a pinch of asafoetida and mustard seeds. When they splutter, pour over the pieces. Serve garnished with scraped coconut and chopped coriander leaves.
Your taste Khandvi is ready to eat !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
